This is a cinematic scene running in real-time in Unreal Engine 5 using the Lumen renderer. A project that took 12 hours to complete.
I focused primarily on the visual impact of the image, utilizing advanced color grading techniques and a variety of lights to enhance the overall glow of the scene. The most difficult and time-consuming part of this work was making the elements in the blurred area readable.
I used a combination of fog, smoke, lights, and elements to separate each object in the scene, preventing them from blending into the environment and turning into a single blurry image. So, I approached this environment compositionally, even in this aspect
It was a complete project, involving asset creation, wind shaders, VFX effects, texturing, composition, lighting work, color, and more.
